So much SPAM

My blog has been filling with spam messages, I never had this problem before but I’ve also never blogged as actively as I do now either. Tonight I was deleting through the spams, about 150, and accidentally deleted some comments that I did want and do appreciate. I am not sure how to retrieve them and I think they are lost to the lands of lost comments.
If you notice your message isn’t there anymore, I do apologize and I’ll be looking into something more efficient to deal with spam in the future.

I think I recovered all my lost comments, and made sure the Akismet spam filter was activated. I hope this solves the ongoing spam problem. I can’t believe any of this type of spam link advertising would ever work, why do they even bother?
I felt a bit like dumpster diving amid all the spam but the time you take to stop and leave me a comment is important, and I appreciate it. It’s not always easy to leave a comment, I know that for myself sometimes I feel shy to comment. WHY? I don’t know, I just do feel this way sometimes.
It’s nice to see all the numbers, to know that someone is watching, listening, but then when you hear back from someone reacting on what you are doing, it’s really cool.
It can feel like you are alone in a room, talking and then another voice is heard, and another.

You can prevent this if you are able to use verification word.
yes you need to use Akismet where people have to enter and match the “word”
