Coffee in the morning

I enjoy coffee. It can’t be any old coffee and it can’t be prepared any certain way. The best coffee is coffee prepared in a french press. The second best way is coffee made in a vacuum coffee maker and the third best way is to get it made at the coffee shop. When I was living in Seattle we had so many coffee shops, I see some around where I live now and have been treating myself every once and a while. I drink less coffee now.
I like a nice bold coffee, espresso roast, Arabian sunani, Italian roast. All of my favorites or standbys can be found at Starbucks. I’ve yest to see anyone in Spokane do coffee art on the top of my latte!! *huff* I like my coffee sweet and prepared around 135-140 degrees is the perfect temperature for me. It never sounded snobbish until I ordered it in the lobby of the local medical building here and the girl was really bent out about me requesting my coffee at a certain temperature. WHY? why is it a problem ya know? She has to look at the thermometer anyway to know when to stop steaming the milk. How many people order extra hot or not too hot?? I know exactly what I want in my coffee and how to prepare it, I am paying a crazy amount for this beverage delight and what is happening to customer service these days anyway???
*Side note* I once was launching a coffee shop, one of those little drive through coffee shacks I know how much everything costs involved in that operation. The sucky part about launching that business is getting the location. I had stumbled across someone who needed to leave town abruptly and unloaded all the equipment for it on me at a very very reasonable price. In hindsight it would of been better had I directly turned around and sold the equipment again but I didn’t. We spent a lot of money getting everything set up for that business and never did anything with it. That is another story but rest assured I know how much that cup of coffee costs and the profit margin. SOOOOO you just order up your coffee however you please.

If I was your coffee preparer I’d certainly do it with a warm smile and want to please you so you would come back every morning for your addiction fix.

What kind of coffee am I drinking this morning? The standby usual: Espresso roast prepared in my Cuisinart coffee drip brewing machine, using the metal filter, shot of hazelnut creamer and two teaspoons of sugar.

Sometime I just fill up the cup and run out the door but I prefer to sit about knocking the cobwebs of sleep from my head sipping my  nutty flavored warm beverage and visiting with my boyfriend. I also like to have a mid day coffee, one after lunch a breve..but you really have to be careful with that one it’s soooo dangerous in the calorie department it’s served with half and half instead of milk so I always ask for the nonfat and with my latte, non fat and sugar free. Yeah those coffee drinks can get to be quite the wasted calories. I’d prefer to spend them on a cookie !! oh you know those sugar cookies with the pink frosting on them..mmmmmmm omg I so totally want one or two. They are from the deepest regions of temptation of dessert sugary sweetness land….*lost in thought for a moment*
