6 smashing spots for Halloween Photography

Here comes October!

In Second Life, we get to dress up all year round but we take it to the next level for the month of October. Have you been thinking about what you’ll wear for this years festivities? I know I have, stay tuned for an up and coming list of great places to get costumes for having Halloween fun.

Here in Second Life is decked out for fall, I am starting to look at the Halloween decorations and thought I’d share a handful of spots to go take some pictures. Drop by and visit us at Here.

Remember to play with your windlight settings for optimal spookiness, eerie effects.  Crank up some of that haze density, turn down the gamma. Scary movies tend to use blue and red for forbearing color cues.

It’s not an extensive list of course but merely a couple spots to get your creative juices going and to help you get in the spirit.

I’d love some links to places you think would be great for moody, eerie pictures, even better I’d love some links to pictures you’ve done in the Halloween Spirit.

Purgatorio

Muse Island

Earlier today I had an opportunity to meet with Martha Cookie and talk with her about showcasing sculpture on her island. My understanding is Martha is the owner of Muse Island, someone correct me if I am wrong in thinking this.

Several times a week I tp into Muse Island to hear good live music but I am so narrow minded when I arrive and just want to get to my destination. I went to Muse during off time a few days ago and had a nice look around. The sim is really lovely and focused not only on musicians but other artists within SL. I sent Martha an IM and told her I would like to contribute to her efforts.

*ding ding* I receive and IM from Martha and soon we are standing high into the sky on a platform meeting one another for the first time. I begin laying out some pieces to show her my work and soon covered most of the platform with my pile of prims. I stop and ask her what kinds of things she might most like to see displayed and I was most pleased to hear her tell me it was up to my own discretion. If you are curious I have two pieces displayed on the art walk and I will be rotating pieces out at my leisure. You never know what you might find at Muse Island, but you can always be sure to count on a good time.

It was a nice meeting, I wish she was not so far away and could come to the Suzanne Vega concert tonight but it’s going to be at 1 am Martha’s time and that just isn’t going to work out. Hopefully there will be lots of video surrounding the event….what event? what am I talking about???? oh my goodness if you haven’t heard …check this out ! This is definitely something to be followed check out all the other up and coming events in this sim too…wowzerama.
