I realize yesterday I never did talk about my first communion and I went off into some other rabbit hole but that happens sometimes. Thankfully the list of rules for myself on my own blog are quite short, “Do what I want”.

I was in the middle of an entry for today when -poof- my computer turned off, it has been a long time since I had such a fatal Windows error. I remember back when there was much more rebooting and I appreciate the better stability Microsoft offers us now with Windows than what we had in the past.

Captain Jack is so full of chirping today, he is having a good day and has so many things to tell me. Of course I am listening but he is getting a bit long winded, I imagine he will settle in for a nap sometime soon, or I’ll have to get out,”the blanket”. Who is Captain Jack? He is my cockatiel, my desk friend, my little yellow and red faced chirp machine. He has learned to vocalize the ambient bird sounds from Second Life and in the afternoon he likes to get into a certain position on his perch and sing to with the Second Life flock. This kind of chirping he is doing now though is really for me to pay attention to him, our sharing time, and at some point he’ll come close, tip his head, want me to preen his crest and then he’ll find a little branch in his cage and take a nap. I’ve never had a bird prior to Captain Jack and it is an interesting relationship and birds just have very different personalities compared to other pets that I have ever had.

I was contacted today about my Bears at the Bear InfoHub, that always makes me feel special. Someone was hoping I could sell them a copy. Some things that I create are special only to the places you come across them and in Bear everything is unique to Bear and not located any place else in world. If you have not been to Bear and seen the bears I hope you get a chance to do so. I really enjoyed building at the Infohub with Stelly. I should make a correction, there is one thing in Bear that you can find other places in world and that is the cat in the basket of yarn, you can see it inside the second structure toward the back of the Bear Infohub.

Ta da, it’s Monday. I’m just warming up there is so much I want to do, ready, set….go.

First Communion

Here it is Sunday morning, again the churchies have invaded my neighborhood. I live near an older style Catholic church and school so I commonly get the invasion of salvation seeking sapiens. I was considering slipping on a nice frock and making my way to a pew in the back, but really I just need a bit of coffee and I have hopes to build something today so I am gearing up to get on with it.

It has been really hot here lately. (stop snickering I am talking mostly about the weather) This morning I am able to open up the windows and let in some fresh air. The house gasps for it I almost feel a breeze from the rush of new air. Let out that old stale air conditioning air, bring in the fresh clean summer morning air that all the churchies have been exhaling and inhaling into to as they make their way from the cars to the Lord.

I like to watch the people going to church, I can do this from just about any window in my house. They have a pretty consistent number of followers show up on the regularly scheduled times that they host events. Of course on the holidays it gets really crazy with people who only go to church a few times a year.

When my grandmother died we got these little cards with a really pretty picture on it of Mary and people could pay for mass to be said ….I think in my grandma’s honor? or I am not sure but it had some kind of ritual to it that I was not aware of. That card is really pretty, I am not sure this moment where it is I am certain it is tucked safely away someplace. I also have some litle silver frogs that I bought in a shop on the way to my grandmothers funeral, I held them in my pocket all the way there and then lined them up at places I stopped. The little frogs were really nice, a nice weight just pleasing overall. I put one in my granmothers casket. I put another one in the box my fathers ashes are in. The rest are lined up on a shelf on my desk. My bird likes to pick them up and toss them off the shelf.

How’s that for a ramble? I’m going to go build and drink coffee now.

The most incredible man

Once upon a time

in a land of pixels and push

there were two avatars,

inside those avatars are two people,

inside those two people are experiences,

shared interests

they were drawn to one another.

Together they began to dance

in each others thoughts

dreams and desires

they swirled, twirled,

embraced and floated right to the sky into the stars.

In my new beginning,

my latest life chapter

my next evolution

I begin not alone but with the most incredible man I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and sharing myself with.

Happiness can not even to begin to describe how I feel about this.

With open arms I am embracing this new path

hand in hand,

arm in arm,

heart to heart with him.
